If you already have a Journey Clinical Member Therapist:
Once your therapist refers you to us, we will reach out to you with a link for you to schedule a 1 hour intake consultation via a Zoom (video) call with our medical team. During this intake, they will determine if your diagnoses are eligible for ketamine sessions.
If you're eligible, then you will be prescribed ketamine to a pharmacy that will be delivered directly to your home (requiring your signature) or a UPS drop off location. Please confirm the shipping address during your consultation with Journey Clinical.
You will set up a session with your member therapist (in person or remote) where you will take ketamine as prescribed; This session can last 2-3 hours and is called a dosing session.
You'll also complete an integration session with your member therapist between each dosing session. Within 30-days of your initial intake appointment, you will follow up with our medical team again where they may adjust the dose and can refill your prescription. From there you will continue ketamine sessions with your member therapist. Frequency of treatment is determined in collaboration with you and the medical team.
If you do not have a Journey Clinical Member Therapist:
You will need to make your first payment, schedule an intake medical consultation, and complete a matching questionnaire in order to get matched with a member therapist.
Please note: If you aren't able to find a Journey Clinical member therapist who's the right fit for your needs and preferences, you will receive a full refund.
Start by logging into your Patient Portal account at Journeyclinical.com.
When you're logged in, you'll be prompted to enter your contact information, and then complete our medical intake form and clinical scales. After completing these forms you can "Book Now." We recommend scheduling your consultation for at least a 1 or 2 week window after completing the questionnaire to allow time to obtain matching results and select a member you'd like to work with.
After scheduling your intake consultation, please fill out the therapist matching questionnaire to get matched with a therapist by selecting "connect with a therapist."
Our Care Team will contact you with any matches and next steps. Please note that sometimes our emails go to the Spam/Promotions inbox. If you don't hear from us, please check your spam inbox.
Matching / Therapist-Related FAQ:
Q: Can I work with my personal therapist who isn't a member of Journey Clinical?
A: Journey Clinical prescribed medications must be only taken with a Journey Clinical trained member therapist during a scheduled dosing session. Our member therapists are trained to provide KAP, monitor outcomes, and work collaboratively with our medical team to form individualized care plans for your safety and well-being. You can see an outside therapist as well for deeper integration if you'd like, but must complete dosing sessions and at least one integration session between dosing sessions with a therapist who is a member of Journey Clinical. If you need to be matched to a therapist, please refer to the information outlined above.
Q: How is a therapist selected for me? Can I request someone specific?
A: Please refer above to review the necessary steps to initiate the matching process to find a member therapist that meets your needs. Some examples of preferences that can be considered are therapists' specializations, pronouns, and insurance accepted. If there is a specific member you'd like to work with, please inform our team. Our Care Team will reach out to you when they find potential matches, and will include instructions for next steps!
