What is Medication Management?
Journey Clinical offers comprehensive psychiatric medication management as a stand-alone mental health treatment, or in addition to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). Our team will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your mental health needs. After assessing your goals and medical history, your provider can prescribe medications that are right for you. Your plan will evolve as we monitor your progress, always adjusting as needed to help you achieve the best possible outcomes.
If you are already working with a Journey Clinical Member Therapist, your Provider will work closely with them to create a seamless and supportive care experience. We believe this collaborative approach leads to the best mental health outcomes for our patients. While a Journey Clinical therapist isn’t required for Medication Management, we're happy to connect you with one of our expert therapists to support your holistic mental health needs.
What Is the Medication Management Process and How Often Will I See My Provider?
When you begin Medication Management, you will have a comprehensive intake appointment with your provider to assess your needs and develop a personalized treatment plan.
Following your intake, you'll have regular monthly follow-up appointments to monitor progress and adjust medications as necessary.
Who Can Participate in Medication Management?
Medication management is available for eligible patients who wish to work with a compassionate, dedicated medical provider to monitor, adjust, or taper psychiatric medications to support their mental health. This service is currently offered in all open states listed at the bottom of our website. It is available to both KAP participants and those specifically interested in Medication Management. If you're already working with a Journey Clinical provider for KAP, mention your interest at your next appointment, and they’ll be happy to discuss further. If you're not yet working with a Journey Clinical provider, you can request a referral from your Journey Clinical member therapist or fill out this form to get started without a therapist. You'll then receive step-by-step instructions to create your Patient Portal and schedule your appointments.
What Types of Medications Can Be Prescribed?

- Antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, TCAs, MAOIs, atypical antidepressants)
- Anxiolytics
- Mood stabilizers
